Watertight Connectors and Grommets
A molded connector has a better strain relief as the compound is flexible. Water-tightness is produced by the adhesion properties of the molding compound.

Encapsulation of PCBs
Low injection pressure will not damage the PCBs being encapsulated during the injection cycle.

Sensors, Switches
Micro-switches and various types of sensors (temperature, pressure, etc) can be molded for water-tightness.

Inductive Elements
Over-molding of fragile inductive elements (such as ferrite with copper wire) are possible for Macromelt Molding due to its low injection pressure process.

Molding of Batteries for Molding Devices
(Mobile Phones, DSCs, PDAs)
A PCB for li-on battery is molded and assembled to the battery cell. The PCB incorporated with battery cell can also be molded with improved productivity.
